Contractors are making good progress at the site of King George V Community Sports Hub.

Despite the recent wet weather, the main groundworks have been completed and the sub-base for the new floodlit 3G process is being levelled while the footings have been dug for the new clubhouse building.

The target completion date for this phase of the scheme is early 2022 and it is hoped phase two, which involves the improvement of the existing grass pitches at King George V Playing Fields and refurbishment of the existing pavilion, will begin soon.

The Community Trust is continuing to raise funds for phase two and donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/campaign/kgvsportshub.
